I am also trained in Cued Articulation
(helping Speech Sound Mechanics)
In order to make the required sounds for speech, we have to make the right shapes with our mouths and put our tongues in the right place. These develop normally for most children and become habitual so we don't have to think about the individual sounds when we speak.
Some children may hear the sound incorrectly initially or produce the sound incorrectly, and may need some guidance, prompts and practice to form the new habit of making the correct sound.
Cued Articulation provides a visual prompt with the hand as a reminder of how to make the sound in the mouth, encouraging practice and a new habit. Intervention support would include using the Cue, alongside activities and games to practice the sound correctly.
This is a totally bespoke service, so please arrange a FREE telephone consultation to discuss your needs and a no-obligation quote.
Lego-based therapy was developed by Dr Daniel B LeGoff in 1997. It is an evidence based approach that aims to develop social communication skills in autistic children, such as sharing, turn-taking, following rules, using names and problem-solving.
As LEGO is a registered trademark, "Block-Based" is used instead by many. The technique and theory is the same.

Email is best, I can then book a convenient time for a phone call.
If you would rather call, please leave a message if there is no reply.
I will get back to you.
If you have a face-to-face appointment, you are committing to leaving your home, to attending, to actually being - therefore to prioritising your mental health.
A change of scene (a different 4 walls) in itself can be good for mental health.
In-person appointments allow a deeper connection.
You are removing yourself from other responsibilities, such as children, partners, chores, answering the door or phone - prioritising the task in hand.
Other people cannot overhear - if you were online at home, people could interrupt or hear what you are saying - one of the reasons this works is that you can unburden yourself without the fear of placing that burden on people you care about, are trying to protect, or trying to appear brave for.
I personally hate phone conversations; I find it hard to concentrate on the conversation without a visual focus point.
You don't have to worry about internet signal dips.
And, quite pertinent at the moment, you can attend a warm space for the session.
Worth considering, huh?
